Taking a stand for safety

Founded in 1963, National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) is a national not for profit, membership-based organisation promoting occupational health and safety awareness in Irish workplaces.

For over 50 years, NISO has been the leading body providing training and advice in the area of workplace health and safety. NISO works to help its members achieve safe and healthy working conditions through promoting best practice, providing training and advice, building strong safety cultures and creating awareness to help prevent injury in Irish workplaces. Contributing organisations help NISO further the health and safety agenda at national level.

To create the conditions where Irish workplaces are among the safest and healthiest in Europe through:

• The provision of leading information, advisory and training services;
• The promotion of a culture of excellence in workplace health and safety;
• Playing a leading role in advancing the national health and safety agenda;
• Helping members develop a culture of health and safety in their workplace.
